Oswell & Co.
About

An AI consultancy built for manufacturing.

Much of what is sold to manufacturers as AI is a template priced like a system. We build the real thing: systems designed around your operation, proven on your data, and supported in production.

Focus
Manufacturing operations
Capacity
Three clients per quarter
Based in
Alberta, Canada

We diagnose the problem, build the system, host and run it, and stay accountable for the result.

Every engagement is led at the principal level from scoping through production, with no handoff to a junior team and no account manager in between. We take three clients per quarter so the work is built properly and maintained. Your data is yours and exportable at any time.

Ayden Oswell

Ayden Oswell founded Oswell & Co. and leads its client engagements, from the first assessment through production. He has worked hands-on with modern AI since it became practical for business, and has put systems into live operation that do work no team could do by hand.

He oversees Invoice Intelligence, which reads thousands of vendor invoices, maps every line item to its real part number, and shows a company its spend down to the smallest part. For one client it has identified $315,097.55 in overbilling and price increases to date, with a further $317K–$421K forecast for the following year if nothing changed.

Oswell & Co. also builds tools for the legal sector with an attorney partner, including a real-time deposition assistant.

“…such an impressive vendor spending and pricing analytics platform.”

Our point of view

What we believe about AI in operations.

  1. 01

Most AI being sold today doesn’t improve over time.

Much of it is a few instructions on top of a chatbot, priced in the tens of thousands. We build systems that learn the operation and get more valuable with use.

  2. 02

Prompting is table stakes. Context is the edge.

Modern AI understands what you mean in plain language. Give it deep knowledge of your business and the work around it, and the output stops being generic and starts being useful.

  3. 03

    AI doesn’t replace good people.

It takes the repetitive work off their desk and gives them better information to decide with. People bring the context and judgment; the system brings speed and reach.

Working with us

Candid advice, even when it means less work for us.

If an off-the-shelf tool solves the problem, or you could do it yourself, or the labor is cheaper than the build, we’ll say so before you’ve spent anything. We train your team as we build, so you understand your own system rather than depend on us to touch it. The goal is a clear return on what you invest.

The mark

The star on the work.

The eight-pointed star is a Byzantine star. In the Orthodox tradition eight is the number of the eighth day, the day after the week ends: the resurrection, the world made new. I’m an Orthodox Christian, and the star is how I keep my faith at the center of the work. It points to Christ, the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

Fit

Who this is for, and who it isn’t.

A fit if
  • You’re a manufacturer with a recurring, expensive workflow
  • You’d rather it were done right than done cheap
  • You want one accountable lead, not a rotating team
  • You’ve been burned by hype and want to see it work on your data first
  • You want a system built for your operation, not a tool off the shelf
Not a fit if
  • You’re shopping for the cheapest option
  • You want a tool to log into and figure out yourself
  • You need it live next week with no diagnosis
  • You want to hand it off and never think about it again
  • The problem isn’t costing you enough to matter
